Animal
Services Training and Consultation Inc., ASTAC, creates and delivers
quality training for animal care professionals. Courses offered cover a
variety of topics not normally discussed at seminars and conferences.
Investigators new and veteran benefit from as a result of the
ever-changing content and the progressive style of the instructors. Professional
consultation is also available for agencies requiring assistance. All
instructors and consultants are hand-selected for their expertise in a
given field.

ASTAC uses non-traditional methods of investigation instruction featuring more “hands-on” and class participation. Courses incorporate problem-based learning and allow students to learn through carefully selected and designed problems. The programs demand that the learner acquire critical knowledge, problem solving proficiency, self-directed learning strategies, and team participation skills.
The process replicates the commonly used systemic approach to resolving problems or meeting challenges that are encountered in life and career. This new adult learning model is used in all ASTAC training courses.

Instructors
have extensive knowledge concerning the animal care profession. All
ASTAC instructors have direct experience specifically in the animal
care background. That means they know what it takes to succeed and the
challenges that lie ahead.
